Drabble Challenge 1: Beginning

Project S

Day one:
Subject is a healthy male with a strong set of lungs and heart.  Vital signs are normal.  No evidence of Jenova's influence yet.  Subject has been named Sephiroth.

Time of birth: 3:49 pm
Weight: 3.74 kg
Length: 55.9 cm

Day fifteen:
Subject's blood cells show unusual shapes and behavior.   Little evidence of Jenova's  influence.  Dr. Crescent continues to ask after subject.  She will soon be removed.

Day twenty-four:
Subject is unusually quiet today.  He does not protest any handling as he has in previous days.  Subject was injected with the first dose of Jenova cells since before birth.  Dr. Crescent has declined in health to the point of death.  Note: Adult subjects injected with the cells react with unpleasant side effects resulting in death.

Year 2, Day 56:
Subject displays unusual strength and coordination for his age.  He retains a great deal more than average in terms of words.  Subject retains the habit of hiding when it is time to take him to the lab.  It is annoying.  Door must be locked to keep subject from escaping.

Year 3, Day 37:
Subject continues to develop mentally.  Already speaking in complete sentences and reading.   He has been asking questions regarding his origins.  No mention of Dr. Crescent will be made.  

Year 3, Day 364:
Subject was taken outside the mansion today by his caretaker.  She declares it was for subject's own good.  She will be removed. Subject must not be contaminated by outside influences. Subject strives harder to escape from future experiments.  Measures must be taken to prevent this.  Subject should survive.

Year 4, Day 1:
Subject is recovering from exploratory surgery.  Bone scrapings show abnormal density and strength.  Heart and lungs more effective than average.  Subject continues to show intelligence past the usual levels.   Subject is now on the level of an adolescent.   Jenova cells seem to accelerate growth.  Second procedure scheduled in three weeks.

Year 7, Day 189:
Subject has run away.  Turks sent to retrieve him.  Subject will be punished for this to prevent any future attempts.  He should survive the process.  Larger injection of Jenova cells to take place next week.

Year 13, Day 212:
Subject continues to cower against the wall but no longer hides from those sent to retrieve him.  Subject is maturing rapidly.  Will begin to see results of transition into adolescence soon.  

Year 14, Day 72:
Subject is being put into training for SOLDIER against my wishes.  Fortunately we're all being transferred to Midgar.  Will be able to keep track of subject there throughout the physical training.   Outside influences are to be expected and will be compensated for.
